The small cottage that once stood here served as the muse for this Lake Washington home. The project called for Ripple Design Studio’s full breadth of creativity to meet the site’s complex requirements while maintaining the client’s vision of a sophisticated cottage. Nestled into the hillside, the home makes the most of the sparkling lake views. Detailed millwork and soft wall coverings are carried from the grand entrance throughout the interior spaces for a warm, cohesive feel. Thoughtful landscaping sweeps to the water’s edge where the cabana—a mini version of the home—offers a more playful, laid-back sensibility for entertaining and overnight guests.
